Wedding day

Thank God Britain finally came to its senses and let gay people get married. Among the first to make it legal this morning were Sir Elton John and longtime partner David Furnish.

Should we presume sarcasm from you as always or was it genuine.

For a while I had trouble with the whole gay marriage thing but what the hell if a man and woman can get married and do all kinds of shit and be deemed normal what is wrong with 2 male/ 2 females doing the same.

I only hope the morality issues don't go haywire (referring to promiscuity in gays' that is).

Any couple that has stayed together for 12 years certainly deserves the rights of those of the Renee and Kenny, Nikki Hilton, Brittney round one ilk. Good for Sir Elton!

Congrats to the happy couple!! Good Show! As for anonymous #1's comment about promiscuity (and I'm assuming it's not his/her personal opinion), I'm a straight woman with many gay friends and I've yet to meet a gay man to match some of my straight male friends' (and unfortunatley ex-boyfriends')promiscuous habits.

This is the first anonymous guy again.

Yeah promiscuity is not a gay trait. I shouldn't have said that.

Promiscuity is a gay trait. I said it, and I stand by it.

The previous posting citing promiscuity as a gay trait was made out of blatant ignorance. Regardless of sexuality, promiscuity is a trait of humans gay, straight or bi. Only a fool would try to blame a minority for the faults of the majority. Congrats to the happy couple. I can only wish such liberty and freedom for all happy couples whatever their status.

Status? Anyway, I didn't write that it was an exclusively gay trait. The phrasing was taken from the earlier posts: I'm not a schoolmarm. I can't stand pedantry--why I didn't correct the person who knocked Ken Chesney and Renee Zellweger for lacking a certain "intellegence." Anyone who calls another person a fool will be judged accordingly. What I wrote wasn't written out of ignorance; it was written out of irreverence. Don't get your panties in a bunch, Hank.

I say good for them! I hope they remain happy together. I think it's awesome England allows same sex marriages.

I didn't say Renee and Kenny were ignorant. I implied that it seems a bit unfair that people who clearly didn't think their commitment to each other through before tying the knot should have more legal protections than a couple who has worked on their relationship and stayed together for 12 years without the benefit of a legal contract.

Of course, now that I think of it, Kenny and Renee do seem rather ignorant. So does anyone who would believe such foolishness as promiscuity being a gay trait.

Rocky, you're being paranoid. The person who misspelled intelligence was Reg. I was referring to Reg, not you. Neither did I ever say anyone called Chesney and Zellweger ignorant. You should figure out what in the hell you are talking about before you go and accuse another person of foolishness. Get a life.

You're right. Like, to say faggots suck doesn't mean that straight girls like me don't suck, too. You have my apologies. And Merry Christmas!

I'm gonna have to disagree with you there, Tim. I'd say that people need people who need people who need people who need people.

Kudos to the person imitating me and linking to my blog for the utmost in cowardice and poor taste. If you have something to say, say it using your own identity, or keep it to yourself.

Cracker, I would appreciate if you remove the comment written by rocky(racquel) posted at 5:16 pm as I did not write it. Thank you.

I bet kenny and renee thought about their commitment before marriage. So did Elton and his partner.

What is the difference simple? Getting married legally could be worse sometimes. It is lot easier dating for 12 years than being married for 4 months.

Didn't George Michaels also have a steady b/f when he wanted to get it on with a cop in a bathroom.
